Our Aims
| At Grayshott Little Sunflowers we are very proud of a few simple aims :-
| Chicks visiting the pre-school |
As part of Grayshott Little Sunflowers Pre-school your child will :-
- enjoy generous care and attention because of our high ratio of adults to children
- be supported by well qualified staff to take his/her development forward by learning and build on what he/she already knows and can do
- have a personal key person who ensures good progress
As a charity Grayshott Little Sunflowers Pre-school is a non-profit making organisation and we are always keen to encourage parents to take an active role in their child’s education and in the running of our pre-school. Our management committee meet twice a term and all parents are involved in fund-raising activities. These contributions are an essential part of the pre-school. Grayshott Little Sunflowers pre-school recognises parents as the first and most important educators of their children. The staff work in partnership with you in providing care and education for your child. We work closely with Hampshire County Council, Children's Links and the Services for Young Children and Ofsted.
Policies
The staff and parents of the pre-school work together to adopt our policies and everyone has the opportunity to take part in the annual general meeting when policies are reviewed. This helps us to ensure that our policies enable the pre-school to provide a safe and inclusive environment in which all children can thrive and families are valued and supported. Policy documents are available to read at any time.

Ofsted Report 2010
" The pre-school has a very welcoming and fully inclusive ethos which ensures that all children are secure and happy...The high ratio of qualified and enthusiastic staff ensures that children are helped to achieve well and are kept extremely safe."
"The good progress they make in confidence and skills stands them in good stead for the next stage of their education."
"Many of the play activities [staff] introduce are imaginatively implemented...Because the children become so engrossed in activities, they learn quickly, and make very good progress."
"The pre-school is very effective in meeting the children's personal, social and academic needs, and lays a solid foundation for their future education."
